Wow can you believe we're going to have a birthday in only two more months?! We will not do smash cakes. Or crazy handmade invitations that take hours to make. Or goodie bags and personalized crap from Etsy. I don't think we're ever going to do Santa or Easter Bunny photos, because they're creepy and nobody involved really enjoys them.

Last week I butchered Elsie's bangs because they were getting in her eyes. Sometimes they look cute, sometimes they look terrible. She is trying to clap and cut tooth #3 on Friday. Tilly just started letting go while standing and she can fist-wave. Maybe she is teething or maybe she is just sick, who knows. Things we have been enjoying eating recently: homemade multigrain pancakes with blueberries, waffles with creamy peanut butter, YoToddler with peas stirred in, Korean seaweed, vegetarian "meat" products.

I've been very nervous about taking them out to eat, but today we went to Ikea and they were all Swedish and super baby friendly. The cafeteria had plenty of high chairs, plastic baby utensils, disposable bibs, and a bottle warmer! Elsie strangely had a dry diaper after our 4-hour trip, so I put her on the baby potty when we got home and she peed in it!
